How does the webcast work?

The live online streaming of Aviva’s results presentation will be broadcast on our website. Simply register with your name and email address on our website www.avivawebcast.com.

The webcast includes audio and video and you will be able to adjust the quality of the broadcast to the speed of your internet connection.

What requirements do I need?

An Internet connection with at least 2MB download speed (http://www.speedtest.net). The video player on our webpage will detect the best quality for your internet connection and computer. If you have difficulties, you may also change the quality manually. Please ask your IT system administrator how to do this.

Can I see the stream behind firewalls?

Yes, this is possible. The video player will detect that the port has been blocked and redirect the live stream through other open ports. Please make sure that the standard HTTP port (80) is open. Please ask your IT system administrator how to do this.

My company/organisation routes all traffic through a proxy server. Does this affect the stream?

Yes it can, depending on the proxy server configuration. Please test your IT operating requirements before the start of Aviva's results presentation webcast. Please use this test link to check everything works for you. If you cannot connect to the test stream, please ask your IT system administrator for help.

If I stop watching, can I return later?

Yes, simply login with the email address you have registered with on our website www.avivawebcast.com.

Can I interact with the webcast of Aviva’s results presentation?

There will be no facility to interact.

My link to the live stream is not working - what do I do?

Please ask your IT system administrator for help. If you do not have IT support, please send an email to: itsupport.centre@aviva.com.

Why does my playback get interrupted?

The video stream is probably buffering. This means that the player cannot download the live stream data quickly enough. One reason for this could be due to high usage on the internet connection. You might consider switching to a lower quality when viewing the webcast (using the setting in the video player control bar which can be accessed by hovering on the wheel icon (second from right) on the right side of the control bar).

The picture is blurry

If you are not experiencing any interruptions in playback, try to watch the live stream on a higher quality (using the setting in the video player control bar which can be accessed by hovering on the wheel icon (second from right) on the right side of the control bar).

Can I download the video?

The on demand video of Aviva’s results presentation will be available to watch on our website a few hours after the end of the presentation.
